  1. Only 14 huh? The day you pick up that first drink you arrest your mental growth. I have seen to many alcoholic in my life time, I could fill Brown Stadium with them all.

Think four times before picking up that first drink. I have never drank and feel I've missed nothing. But sure seen a lot of what alcohol does to the family.

  2. It's really not that good for you.  You aren't fully grown.  Heck, it's toxic to adults.  Why start a harmful habit so young?  It leads to alcoholism.

  3. DONT DRINK!! GOD HOW STUPID R U ? EVERYONE knows that u r not soposed 2 drink! it tottaly recks youre life up. you will regret it if u do it. but hey, its noy my life to s***w up, u just asked.

  4. If everyone jumped off a cliff would you? There is a reason there is a drinking "age limit". You have plenty of time to drink after you turn 21. Just because your friends parents don't love them doesn't mean your parents shouldn't love you.

  5. You are extremely young to be drinking.  I can tell you it's prolly not just the drinking your parents are worried about.  Alcohol use leads to unprotected s*x (which can lead to disease). Inhibitions are way down, so you are more likely to do things you wouldn't normally do and that would prolly embarress you to know you were doing them.  Besides those reasons, too much alcohol consumption can kill you.  Everyone thinks it won't happen to them, but it does happen.  I've seen friends in high school have seizures and throw up blood.  It seems fun when everyone is doing it, but there are real dangers. Each year as many as 60 college students die of alcohol poisoning.

  6. I didn't ever drink until I was around 17, which is still underaged and thus not good, but as young as 14 seems a bit too far. I would flip my wig if I found out that my daughter was drinking when she turns 14, but that'll be over 13 years from now...

  7. Don't drink, first of all it isn't good for you, especially at your age, second of all you are 14 and you need to listen to your parents! It will happen eventually, but let it happen at the legal age, you don't want to get caught by the cops and get an MIP (minor in possesion)...

  8. Look this up:

"Cirrhosis of the Liver" (pronounced "sir-OH-sis")

You will change your mind about drinking.  My half-brother died from it.

  9. It probably does feel like everyone drinks in your town, but I bet you there are quite a few kids that don't really feel the urge to drink just yet, either.  Do you really want to hang out with the kids that do just want to get trashed?  Perhaps you can start to hang out with another group of kids from your town.  I know you can do it without it being obvious or making you look like a dork.

We Internet strangers applaud you for having the courage to reach out and look for alternatives to this lifestyle.  As the others said, you have a long time to be underage.  Wait as long as possible.  Your body and your mental health will be better for it.

    Have fun doing other things.

  10. While your body is still growing you should stay away from alcohol, but its all different when your body is fully grown

  11. I will side with your parents. They are being responsible and trying to show you that not everyone needs to drink.  If you have tried it, then you know its no big deal. Drinks will be around your entire life, why waste time now.  Education is the most important to you know, so that you can move out of that town and see that everyone does not always drink.

    Good luck

  12. I'm 17 years old and I have never had a drink of alcohol and I am proud of it. People tend to develop a respect for those who don't drink. Do what you wish, but I highly recommend you stay away from it. Plus, if you do a little background research, you will learn that drinking under the legal drinking age can cause permanent brain damage and if you drink a lot, called a binge drinker, you can develop the dependency of alcohol, which is also not good and can cause future problems.

  13. Everyone else's parents suck.  You should want to be better than everyone else, not doing it just because they are.  If u wanna be sneaky and destroy your body before you are even legal enough to drink...that would be very stupid.  You have the rest of your life after 21 to drink.  It's not that serious.
