At certain times, mainly after sleeping, drinking a soft drink often makes me feel really terrible, it just tastes wrong.

But at other times it's just fine, what's up with this?

I know there probably is a simple answer.

  1. Well your teeth might be sensitive just get a checkup with your dentist.

  2. Perhaps you should listen to your first instinct. It's your body telling you that soft drinks are not good for you!  Think of all that sugar and artificial colours and flavours.   Eeeeeeewwww!  Drink juice of just plain water,  I bet your body hasn't told you that they taste wrong!

  3. at night ur body turns what you eat into fat a considerale amount more than in the day. this is bacause ur biological clock thinks youre ment to be sleeping. i think this has soemthign to do with it.

  4. I wish I had an answer for you, but all I really have to say is that it's the same way for me. Sometimes soft drinks are just nasty and feel wrong, other times they are just the perfect thing.

  5. Many people have all sorts of things taste different or odd after waking up. That may just be normal. I cannot tell about what other times you may be referring as you don't mention them. It can help nail down why.

Now one thing to consider as well is that normally when we wake up we are dehydrated to varying degrees. We need water. Any soda that has caffeine is the wrong answer. Caffeine takes more water to process than the soda provides so it takes it from our system. This means it dehydrates us and can make us feel worse after waking up.
