  1. i get that as well, even if i have 1 with breakfast i am still sick, it is strange as i can drink it later in the day and i love a good cuppa strong tea.

  2. Maybe you're pregnant. Most other people on Y!A want to be, or ask if they are...

  3. I can't drink tea anymore because it makes me feeling sick, even just the smell. I've always thought it was due to the tannin in it, don't know if its actually the case though. Drink coffee, its clearly the king/Queen of hot beverages.

  4. Your bodies just telling you it wants something to eat first. Some people just need to have food in their stomachs before they drink caffine. Eat a small breakfast first to settle your stomach.

  5. i drink black tea no sugar. yes i get this.

  6. Yes, I get this too. Really, I can't drink tea until after lunch and I prefer to limit my intake to one or two cups a day. Coffee and green tea do not affect me.

I think that the cause is tannic acid, which irritates the lining of the stomach. Therefore the stomach wants to rid itself of the irritation and you get a feeling of sickness.

  7. it might be that the tea you drinked had too much steam for you. you see...before you drink your tea do you ever see the steam coming off of it? have you ever wondered what happens when you drink the tea, where the steam goes? well it goes to your stomach and fills up the space making you think your full and often, if too much, makes you "nauseous".

i hope that helps. also it doesn't just happen on a empty stomach.

  15. yes, you're definitely pregnant!! i hope you're married!!

I personally don't have that problem, but your stomach is so empty in the morning it's very vulnerable to everything.

Try it without milk, you might have a slight intolerance to lactose that is only evident when your stomach is empty
