Drinking under 18 in Mazatlan, Mexico?

I'm 16 years old, and look pretty old for my age. (People often think I am in college) I am going to Mazatlan in March. I know the drinking age is 18, but am I likely to get carded? Is there any particular place or places that I can go where I am less likely to get carded than others?

I highly suggest you avoid drinking...just because it's risky and dangerous...since you'll be in a foreign country...(the mommy in me just won't shut up!!!).

Are you going with your parents?  Then...it's ok...because they'll take care of you...(gosh that mom in me).

Anyway...In most touristy...spring break kind of places...in Mexico...they don't generally check ID.  

Be very very very careful.  Lots of REALLY bad things happen to people...especially young foreign drunk girls.
