  1. Depends what you're bringing:) ... If you're bringing your own bottles of beer, then not really.  I know someone who always brought his own cans of real Coke, because that's what he liked to drink & wanted to be sure he had some ... If you're bringing a bottle of wine or liquor, then you should be expected to share - since you don't need to drink the whole bottle by yourself!

  2. The idea of taking your own bottle is to increase the selection of drinks for everybody.  So drink what you like and just put yours with the other bottles - BUT - don't be mean and take a bottle of cheap plonk and then drink someone else's gin!!

  3. bring a bottle of what you love, or make a recipe of sangria, or the stuff to make cosmos or coladas....booze is an expensive thing for the host to provide....so this is almost like a potluck deal...and it is fun to share your drink making expertise with friends. There are always the ones who bring c**p ,and drink everyones good stuff....so be forewarned! Bring extra of what you like if you want to avoid missing out on it.

  4. Keep it for urself...i mean dey did say "bring yo own bottle" rite?...

  5. What tends to happen is that all drinks supplied are put somewhere like the kitchen where everyone helps themselves.

  6. To share. That way you can make lots of different kinds of mixed drinks.

You can still drink most of it if you wish, but its great to share it.

  7. BYOB is intended to keep costs down for your host.  There are so many options, a host couldn't possible provide everyone's preference.  Your host should provide soft drinks, seltzer, possible iced tea.  You are bringing your OWN booze.  If you choose to share, you may - but you are not expected to.

  8. Share it round, especially if it's something you don't really like. If it's your fave drink and there's nothing else there you like keep it to yourself.
