  1. Water is the only way to prevent hangovers.  A glass of water after every to or three drinks and right before you go to bed drink as much water as possible (like 64oz. or more).  Whoever said that can lead to alcohol poisoning is smoking crack.


  2. keep hydrated with water...  if that doesn't stop the green in the spleen,  have a crisp, fresh coke a cola... that'll get you to burping and the carbonation is reputable for calming a upset stomach.

  3. do not mix, if you drink beer do not mix sweet shots but clear shots like whiskey or tequila and most of all do not over do it

  4. You want to make sure that you don't get too drunk in the first place.  A good rule of thumb is one glass of water per drink as you are drinking.  Definitely a couple before you go to bed.  Make sure that you have something on your stomach as well.

  8. The best way to stop a hangover is to prevent a hangover.  While drinking make sure you have plenty of water while you drink.  It will keep you hydrated and flush out your system.

    Also the mixing myth has been debunked.  It is okay to mix and it will not give you a hangover, but the reason most believe it is because when drinking liquor you drink faster than when you drink beer.  So drinking liquor then switching to beer you slow down your consumption (liquor before beer never fear), but when drinking beer then switching to liquor will speed up your consumption (beer before liquor never been sicker).  So if you do have a problem drinking liquor too quickly drink only beer.  This will help prevent a hangover as well.
