Drive to mexico?

Does anyone know how old you have to be to drive by yourself to mexico and what you need?

You must be more than 18, and about the answer of corruption, believe me, it happens because the people have something to hide or do not have the proper papers in order. Some people I know travel every year from US to Mexico without problems, of course the are sttoped continuously on the way but everything is OK, so nothing to be worried about, they never had paid a cent. Just do not do anything stupid and do not bring any illegal item or merchandise that is not declare at the entrance of the country.

My coworker, Jose drove there recently. He said it was expensive between the legitimate road tolls and the graft and corruption of the police who took him for more than 2 hundred bucks. The roads were deteriorated and the gas wasn't that much cheaper than in the US.
