i just got my driver's provisional licence today and i noticed next to my date of birth is supposed to have my place of birth, but it just says NK ( not known ). i'm wondering is it okay to have NK, or should i send it back?

i remember when filling out the form in the first place, it didn't state to write my place of birth, and i got it checked at the post office ..... so i'm a little confused.

Sorry i've just rambled on, but anyone else who has this 'problem' ?

  1. It stands for Not Known - It is fine - it is not a legal requirment to have it on the licence.

  2. I think (although I'm not sure), that the place of birth data is read off an digital passport - if you on't have a passport, or you have a pre - digital one, then the place of birth field isn't shown.
