Question:

Driver Improvement Citation?

by  |  earlier

i got a citation in the mail today from the maryland mva that said I needed to take a driver improvement program for a ticket i got a few weeks back. This doesn't make sense for three reasons:

- I have my full license (not provisional)

- The ticket I got was not for a moving violation it was for not having registration

- I got no points with the ticket

what can I do?! i am fed up with all this beaurocratic c**p! also what worries me is that the citation didn't state WHY i got it! I am worried that i got a point on my license for some reason. what should I do?!

  1. --- You need to call your DMV ( department of motor vehicles) and ask them about this. Be civil and explain what happened and explain why you think there is something amiss. They will explain it all to you I am sure. It may very well be that there was an error.

--- Not knowing your record or local laws I can't tell you much more. But your DMV is there just for this reason and they should be able to clear it up for you. Don't be afraid to call and ask, that is why you are paying these people.
