Do they still have you parallel park in California??..

I've heard that you don't but I just want to be sure before I take it.

You don't have to parallel park for the behind the wheel test anymore, but you will have to back up in a straight line for 18feet. I reccomend putting your right hand on the seat next to you while doing that.

I would also reccomend learning how to parallel park anyway, your gonna use it no matter what so the sooner you do the better.

Also remember that you need to know the hand signals, and don't speed or go too slow either! 3 mph more or 3 mph less continuously can fail the test.

Make chit-chat with the DMV representative and try to be nice, hopefully if they are talking enough they won't notice if you make a mistake. I think that will be my plan, hahah JK!
