Driver issues with the Nvidia 8800gts?

Question

ok, so i just installed the latest drivers for the 8800gts from nvidia, only now the drivers don't come up and it's now showing everything in 4 bits (i didn't know it got that low)

PLZ HELP

Un-instal your downloaded drivers of Nvidia.

Download & instal fresh drivers applicable to

Nvidia 8800gts

(click products supported on download  link)

op system, widows xp, windows xp  media centre.

Driver Installation Hints

"Download Accelerator" utilities should be disabled when downloading any drivers.

Do not run virus protection software in the background while installing the drivers. This prevents the driver from configuring itself properly.

After instal of Nvidia drivrers, as above,

go to Dvice manager

expand (+) against Display Adapters

Ensure,your original motherboard video drivers are in disabled state.

Also  ensure monitior is connected to  correct Nvidia port, specified for the purpose.

ps. If problem persists,re-instal Nvidia software, with drivers, from original cd of Nvidia.after un-installing downloaded  drivers, through add remove programme.

Completely remove the nVidia drivers in Add/Remove Programs. Now reboot into Safe Mode, and run an app called Driver Cleaner. Once complete, reboot as normal and install the latest drivers again.
