Driver shafts, what can you tell me about the driver shafts that come with the club when you buy it.?

I have noticed that the shaft you buy is not the actual shaft. example, i bought a titleist 3 wood, and there's a speeder shaft in there, but i'm almost positive the shaft isn't the one that i would get if i were to go and buy it from a local shaft dealer.

Yup shafts are about as crazy as picking out a driver. You can have a shaft designed just for you.  and then you got stiff and reg shafts.. its a big head game if your a beginner. dont let the stuff confuse you...

Your right, many manufacturers use a custom model shaft available only on their product. It's a cost issue, but also it ensures shafts advertised by Fujikura, Aldila, Graffaloy, etc.,  are limited availability, helping them control price.
