  1. Baker shut your trapper. You dont know anything about shaft technology so youre spouting out about his swing... cause thats all anyone does in this forum.  If you cant answer the question dont post.  retards.

    Anyways

I cant answer your question directly, but I advise taking a look at a launch monitor and try out the various shafts.

  2. Rcgolf.. that answer was really uncalled for.

It is true, that a descending angle of attack will cause alot of backspin.

Why do you think backspin exists, the shorter the irons get.

The driver is to be struck just as the clubface bottoms out, and begins to make its way upward in the swing arc.  The proper impact of the driver requires proper setup at address, in order to get optimal backspin.

Without being setup properly, you are destined for failure, even before you take your backswing.

So.. before think of a shaft change.. you may want to have a pro check out your setup angles.. your swing.. and ball position also will play a role.

  3. I'd be more inclined to believe your backspin problem emanates from a swing problem.  A descending swing will cause back spin more than any shaft.   distance and accuracy also will improve if your swing is correct.

  4. if your producing backspin than your swing is most likely the problem. but theres a chance that you dont have a stiff enough shaft;  i would recommend a fujikura shaft in that case
