Driver version is different than what the website says, is this right?

Im trying to update my display drivers. Its an intel 945gm. I downloaded the current update from intel.com which says its driver version 14.32.4. When I install it device manager says the driver is version number 6.14.10.4926 is this right?

  1. Yes thats normal with intel driver packages. 14.xx.xx is probably the file version of the package. 6.xx.xx is the video driver version inside the package.


  2. yes. windows will use the best drivers for your system, not always the newest.
