Question:

Drivers Ed Online: How does it work?

How does it work? Will there be a teacher who'll teach you how to drive in an actual car? Or will they just give you the needed material so you could pass the written test? I'm concerned about the actual driving part. I'm 17 and I live in Nevada. Thank you very much. (I can't take in my high school because my schedule is already full.)

  1. Most online driver's ed classes only cover the written portions of driving.  They'll talk about signs, good driving habits, laws, etc.  Some come with a log book for tracking your behind the wheel practice time.

To get the behind the wheel stuff, you'll need your parents or another responsible adult to help you out.

You can read really detailed reviews on online training programs at:

They also have a section called "Learn to Drive" that has step-by-step instructions for an adult that is teaching a teen to drive.  It's all free.
