if i have a permit right now in the state of texas and ive had it for more then six months and i just turned sixteen today then does that mean i can get my provisional license today.

also if i had my provisional license for 6 months then does that mean the restrictions dont apply anymore

  1. yeah you can. you have to have your permit for 6 months, and be 16..so yeaaaahh. go get your license dude.

  3. Get your license.  The old "restrictions" go away. You get a few new restrictions:   higher penalty for speeding more than 20 mph over the limit;  limit on driving after midnight; and one more i forgot.
