I'm studying for my drivers ed and I came across this question:

The driver of the automobile in each of the diagrams wishes to pass. Which cannot?

Vehicle A

Vehicle B

Vehicle C

Vehicle A & B

heres the picture btw: http://i32.tinypic.com/av4wtl.jpg

I put A&B because there isn't a a broken line so you could pass. ;s but it said I was wrong and only B isn't allowed to pass?

help? what am I doing wrong?

  1. Vehicle B because the vehicles are at the same closeness. If a vehicle wishes to pass, they have to give the person in the front enough room to move up. But Vehicle B does not have this option in the picture. So therefore, it is B

  2. Maybe it has something to do with the tractor pulling a hay wagon?

I think it's A & B as well, but maybe there are laws where you live regarding farm vehicles being passed?  Or whoever marked your test made an error in marking it?

I would discuss this question in class, or at least with your classroom Instructor, or DMV or wherever you took the test.

  3. No way,  that cant be

  4. A and B cant pass, solid yellow lines..........
