  1. aggressive = tailgating, weaving in and out of lanes.

reckless = stupid, being out of control, peeling out, hitting a curb, mailbox, or animal.

    California

California Vehicle Code§ 23103.5: Wet Reckless or Reckless Driving Involving Alcohol(Priorable as a California DUI)

    (a) Any person who drives any vehicle upon a highway in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.

    (b) Any person who drives any vehicle in any offstreet parking facility, as defined in subdivision (c) of Section 12500, in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.

  2. Aggressive is what it sounds like. TOO agressive. Slow down!  Keep good distance behind cars....ect.

Reckless is just that.....RECKLESS. No Care for others, speeding, fast lane changes, ect.

  3. both are bad reckless is the worst of the two

  4. Aggressive driving is defined as any behind-the-wheel behavior that places another person (or people) and/or property in danger through willful action without regard to safety.

Aggressive driving can range from risky behavior to that which escalates to serious violence.

Common driving behaviors include: tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, passing on the shoulder, speeding, cutting off traffic, honking, yelling, flashing headlights and using inappropriate gestures.

In the extreme, it can include bumping or ramming another vehicle or brandishing weapons.

Reckless driving is the driving of a vehicle at a speed or in a manner that shows an utter disregard for the safety of persons or property.

In other words, a reckless driver knows that he is driving dangerously but chooses to do so despite the risk.

Depending on what state you live in, reckless driving is either a misdemeanor criminal offense or a misdemeanor traffic offense.

  5. You can be aggressive without being reckless, but you can't be reckless without being aggressive...........

You need skills to be aggressive without being reckless.

You don't need skills to be reckless, just wild abandon....and not even a scratch of experience either.

If you are a skilled driver, you can drive "aggressively-defensive" if you will, because you have experience and confidence to handle your car in various situations. This type of driver is also very focussed on the driving task.as well as the surrounding traffic and usually doesn't take unnecessary or dangerous risks.

    So, which are you?
