Question:

Drivers education?

I attend a private school that does not offer drivers ed. In a few months I am going to be getting my license. But is there places for me to take drivers ed? I have been searching around and I can only find an on-line course for home schooled students. Is there anyway to take it?

  1. In our state, the public school is very home school and private school friendly regarding drivers ed.  Look on the public school website for drivers' ed information.

The school worked very well with our son and with our friends who go to private school.    They were accommodating with time schedule and making sure we knew all the things we needed to know about getting a permit.

  2. You should be able to inquire about enrolling in your Local Public High School, that offers the course.  It might be nights/weekends, or you might have to wait for a Summer School class.  If cost is an issue, this should be the way to go.

If cost is no issue, look in the phone book for a Commercial Driving School.  They have Drivers Education Programs and would know what's required in your State.

Sorry, your State DMV cannot locate or suggest a Driving School for you.  It would look like they are recommending one over the other, and highly unethical.

Good Luck, Pay Attention, Follow Instructions in Class!

  3. go to your DMV and ask them or look in your phone book under drivers ED...
