Drivers permit please help?

i am 14 and i want to know if i can like register for my permit 6 weeks before i turn 15 becouse i heard it takes 6 weeks to get ur permit and u can do the stuff for it and get it right when you turn 15. could i do this and how?

Depending on what state you are in you need to be at least 15, some states 15 ½ years old to apply for a learner's permit.

I live in Michigan, and I just got my permit about 6 hours ago

To start to take the course, you needed to be at least 14 and 8 months old. The course was three weeks long (4 days a week, 2 hours a day). During the course, we had 6 hours on road driving. At the end, we took a test, if you passed, you got a green certificate, which you would take to the Secretary of State, along with your birth certificate, Social Security Card, pieces of I.D., and 2 proofs of Residence. You would take a vision test and if you passed and had all necessary paperwork, you would get your permit immediately after.

My last day of class was today, ended at 10:00 am, and I got my permit at about noon.

That's how it is in Michigan, it may be different for you; check your state's website (i.e. www.michigan.gov) to check what the laws are for applying for your permit.

i don't know where you live but here it dosent take 6 weeks to get your permit, if you pass the test the test and are 15 then you get it...well, thats what i did anyways
