in california, can i drive from home to school and school to home by myself with just a permit??

  1. Absolutely not. In California you must have a licensed driver 25 years or older with you at all times that you drive with an instruction permit.

    If caught doing this your permit would be suspended and you would probably not be allow to reapply until you turned 18.


  2. you would have to check locally with your dmv (or your drivers ed books if you kept them) also they sometimes print out a paper for you along with your permit that states these rules.. I know it is legal here as long as the following conditions are met:

    A. you've had your permit longer than 6 mo

    B. you have insurance

    C. just to school/work/emergency and back, thats ALL..no stopping by starbucks lol

  3. No, you cannot.

    With a permit, you can only drive with a licensed driver next to you.
