Where I live you get your drivers permit at 16 and have it for a year, and you can only drive with a 25 supervisor...but what i was wondering is...are you allowed to drive with your 25 Supervisor if they have been drinking?

  1. The licenced driver responsible for you while you are on permit has to be ready, willing, and able to take over the driving.  A drunk cannot do that.  If pulled over, the drunk will get a ticket, even if not driving, for being in control of a vehicle while drunk, and the permit holder will be ticketed for driving without a qualified accompanying driver.

  2. more than likely no

if you are pulled over i believe the impaired supervisor is arrested and well what do you get now with no supervisor? a trip right along with them

  3. The rules of a driving permit only state that you must be accompanied by a licensed driver at least 25 years of age sitting in the front seat beside you. However it is against the law to drive while under the influence of alcohol so one would have to feel that the drinking licensed driver would not be allowed to be your supervisor.

  4. I don't have an answer, I have been trying to find out myself, My mom says I can't because she's drank but I believe it's LIES!
