Driving a 26 ' Penske Truck to florida.?

Average Diesel is 4.50 per gallon.

Penske states the truck gets 8-12 miles to the gallon.

the distance is 1400 miles. The truck will be full. How much money or how do I formulate what it is going to cost us?

Using average miles to gallon  approximately l0 then  each mile costs .45. ($4.50 divided by miles per gal.)   1400 miles x 45cents= $630.00.  You can do the same using 8 mpg or 12 mpg.    This is for one way.  Round trip of course would double that.   Would it  be cheaper to fly back and turn truck in at Florida?
