  1. Was this your car or was it your dads?

In respect to speeding its the driver not the car that committed the offense.

His insurance will be effected. When he next renews his own insurance.

The cars insurance only comes into it in the event of an accident.

  2. A - it goes on his licence, and affects any future insurance he contracts for.

B - if he was using the car with your permission, not your dad's, NEVER let him touch it again.

A ticket given in person to the driver is not copied to the registered owner of the vehicle.

The exception is a red light camera ticket, which the owner would actually see before another person driving his car.

I assume this question is about a ticket actually handed to him.  Your dad will never know unless you or the friend tells him, and it will have no effect on his insurance.  It will, however affect any insurance your friend takes out, because it is on his record.

  3. Speeding tickets are recorded onto your driver's license. Not the vehicle. If you friend was speeding and took out 3 people and a pole then the insurance company would get involved. Your insurance rates will not be affected in anyway. However, your friends insurance will be....
