  1. With no traffic, you could probably make it in 45 minutes by car.  Don't take a taxi.  You could probably rent-a-car.  If possible, there is an airport in Irvine called the John Wayne Airport and you if you landed there you would be much closer to Newport.  Good luck!

  2. Anywhere from 45 minutes to 180 minutes depending on traffic and where in Los angeles.

  3. Don't fly, drive.

You can take a shuttle between the airports for about $40.

The length of time depends on the hour of day because the traffic varies.  The very least time is one hour.  On a Friday afternoon or evening, it could take three hours!

    Call Super Shuttle

  4. i live in LA and i go to new port like ALL the time. don't take a plane!!!!

You can go in a taxi it would take about an hour (60 minutes) on average

  5. Rent a car for the day for about $50  : 405 south to 55 south; go straight and you will hit the beach OR 5 south to 55 south and you will hit the beach.

    45 minutes without traffic

Leave LA around 11am and you shouldn't hit any traffic. Spend the entire day and evening in Newport Beach. Leave Newport around 8pm so you miss traffic going home. You will love Newport. I have been going there my entire life and I think it is the best beach around. If you decide to rent a car, drive east on PCH and you will hit Laguna Beach...another really nice place.   Welcome and have fun.

  6. Taxi fare would cost over $100. If possible book your flight to arrive at SNA instead of LAX because SNA is right next to Newport Beach. Otherwise, take a shuttle bus.
