    You can take the American route and get the hassle at the border with the States OR you can take the Canadian route and pay about a dollar more for gas for four (4) litres [1 us gal].

    I've done both ways to Regina and the Canadian route to the coast and back.  I prefer the all Canadian route.  With the cost of gas up now you shouldn't run into to many RVs on highway #17 through northern Ontario I like that highway over #11 just remember to make sure you have a full tank leaving Wawa just to be on the safe side.


  2. Going thru the US means you can drive almost the whole way on  divided highways which are much less fatiguing (and less dangerous) especially in bad weather. The quickest way is US 94 through Chicago, Wisconsin, Minneapolis, etc to Minot ND then #13 (undivided) from the US border to Moose Jaw, then TransCanada (divided) to Calgary. Depending on how you drive it could take 2 days or 5 days. Bon voyage.
