How long did it take you to pass your driving test from the first lesson to passing your test?

Most people take anywhere from 6 to 12 lessons. It really depends on how comfortable at driving you are.

Average 12 lessons? I've never heard it that quick before! Infact there is a girl in my school who passed after 16 and everyone thought it was amazing! Maybe every single person I know is stupid, although I highly doubt it.

One of my friends took 28 lessons, but he drove to school everyday with his Mum, and drove around a lot.

Another friend took 32 lessons to pass.

Another friend took 40 lessons.

If you take 2 hour lessons it will probably take less weeks but be more expensive (you might take like 4 months double lessons instead of 6 months 1 hour a week, but you will be paying equal to 8 months of 1 hours)

Good luck. I am hoping to pass my test by September. I passed my theory on Wednesday, and have been driving since 14th Feb this year.

Yeah right - all taking rubbish unless they took there test's in the 1940's.

The only one talking any sense is Fran, however, I believe you will take LESS time if you have double (two hour) lessons. The reason being is if you have just one hour, by the time you remember what you did last week, get yourself set up ready to go, get where you need to get, and start doing what you need to do - it's time to go home! If you take double lessons you can generally learn in less than HALF the number of lessons as you spend a LOT more time learning to drive as opposed to setting up, driving to and from your house etc...

If it takes you 40 one hour lessons to pass, it would take you about 15 two hour lessons - therefore saving you 10 hours of tuition :)
