Driving on a suspended liscene in CA?

my mom was driving on a suspended liscece in CA and she side swiped someone. They woman didnt call the cops, but my mom is worried that the insurance will report it the DMV, if they do will she be arrested? someone told us that she has to be pulled over by a cop to get arrested..

  1. If the police were not involved DMV will not have your mom arrested but if there is more than $750 worth of damages to either vehicle then the accident must be reported by both parties.  If your mom does not report the accident to DMV and the other lady or the insurance does, then your mom will receive an additional suspension for not reporting an accident, this will make it even harder to get her license back when she's ready.


  2. I don't know but she has absolutely no business driving if she doesn't have a current license.  If she doesn't get in any trouble this time she should count her blessings and realize she got real lucky this time.  She shouldn't be doing anymore driving until she is eligible to retake her test.  Hopefully she realizes this.
