Driving on your own property without license?

in ny is it legal to drive a car on your own property even if you dont have a drivers license? i have heard that this is true.

There are NO road laws on your own property unless it's classified as "open to the public".

You can drive all you want on your own property.

Driving on your own property is perfectly legal ----- BUT BUT BUT if you hit another vehicle thats insured you can still be held liable for the damages.....    If you hit and injure somebody you can still be sued... If a passenger is injured they have the right to sue you for damages..... And if you damage somebody else's property you can still be held liable....  Legal? Sure --- should you do it? Why not!   As with anything in life use your head!
