In DE you have to drive 50 hrs. for the first six months of driving, then, after that, you can drive by yourself during certain times with certain restrictions.

Is it ok if it takes longer than 6 months to do the 50 hours? I'm behind, and my mom's freaking out.

What happens if it takes longer than six months?

Answers greatly appreciated

  1. yeah, it's fine. if you have your permit for more than a year, though, you need to renew it before you take your driver's test.

  2. it doesnt matter how long it takes you, when you are ready to take your test you take it, that is just a time frame that they allow, if they did not come up with a certain amount of time peaple would take there test right after they get there permit, so take your time its ok

  3. of course its ok.I took me a year!  they rather you be comfortable behind the wheel and ready. Then rushing to get your hours in 6 months. Good luck and you'll be fine
