Driving scooters in Maui at 15?

I asked this question about a week ago, but didn't get quite what I was looking for in an answer.

My question has been answered, although now not only am I getting mixed signals from my family, but also from different websites.

According to [url=http://64.233.167.104/custom?q=cach... site[/url] I can, as long as I'm 15 1/2 and I have a permit.

Some people are saying I cannot. Wether or not the store owner lets me is a different case. Anyway,

Please tell me once and for all.

It looks like you need to be 15, and take the test for an automobile operators license, a motor scooter operators license or a motorcycle operator's license.
