Driving test question- can u give mive me an idea of how far 20.5 metres is?

hi, i've got my driving test coming up in a few weeks time and i was told by my instructor that the first thing they do is an eyesight check. He said you have to be able to read a car license plate at 20.5 metres. Now, i want to see if i can do this myself and if i can't i can get a cheap pair of glasses knocked up. so my question is this: can someone give me an idea of how far 20 metres is (e.g a certain number of car lenghts)? don't ask me to meausure it cos i don't have any metre sticks or anything.
