Driving test tomorrow. My instructor never went over parking on a hill up or down. I just want to make sure I have this correct. Up Hill I put the car in Park, then the e brake and I turn my wheel toward the curb. Down Hill I put the car in Park, then e brake and turn my wheel toward the curb. If there is no curb I turn away???? Am I correct?

  1. Always turn your wheels towards the curb or outside the road.  The intent is that should your car move unintentionally, the turned wheels will move it out of the traffic flow, not into it.  if your wheels are turned towards the traffic lane, your car will roll into that lane of traffic, no matter if you're uphill or downhill.

Good luck with your driving test!
