Driving testing?

ok i live in oregon and i was wondering if you dont pass the written part of the driving test before the actual driving part, will they still let you take the driving part of the test, and then let you take the written part after? or do you have to pass the written part before you can take the driving part? and i know some things changed at the DMV so im hoping this isnt one of them..... but someone let me know!
