Driving theory test in england?

Ino you have to be 17 to start ur driving lessons ... but do u also have to be 17 to book or pass ur theory test ?? or can i do it before im 17 ?? thanks

u can book it when ur 16 but u have to be 17 when u take it....there is a waiting list...u book it weeks in advance so you have time to study for it.

you can only take your theory once your provisional becomes valid, which is when you turn 17.

'If you apply for your provisional licence before you are 17 you will still have to wait until your birthday before you can take your theory test.'

No you can book it before your 17th birthday but can only take it after as your provisional license is not valid untill you're 17.  It's a good idea to take it before you start lessons because it saves you wasting part of each driving lesson going over easy questions with your instructor which you could easily learn in your own time.
