  1. You would get a better answer if you told us where you were starting FROM.

We don't know if you live in the Poconos or Sharon.  The least mileage is about 2550, the most is 2900.  You did not say how many people are going or how much luggage you are taking.  This can mean the difference of 1 or 2 miles per gallon.

Do you have cruise control?  If you do, and you are not in a hurry, you will probably burn between 120 and 140 gallons.  How many times you fill up will depend upon how low you let your tank get.  Sometimes it is better to fill up when the human machine is tired, as opposed to when the fuel tank is empty.

Plan on having to fill up 8 to 10 times.

Make sure your tires are fully inflated!

  2. Your car gets a combined city/highway mileage of 21 mpg.  Assuming you'll be doing mostly highway driving, let's posit 23 mpg.

The 98 Camry's fuel tank holds 18.5 gallons.

Your distance is about 2700 miles.

And now I'll let you do the math.
