Driving to france without v5?

Question

i have just bought a car and intend to drive to france in 2 weeks , i read that i need to take V5 registration doc ,it can take 4-6 weeks to recieve V5 in my name , i have new keepers supplement v5c and a bill of sale does any one know if this is surficant
