My family and I are going on vacation tomorrow, I'm 15 and i have a 13 year old sister. It's about 4 hours away, and I can't sit still for more than 15 minutes... I always get bored and bring a ton of stuff to do but never do and so it just creates chaos and clutter.. What can i bring into the car to keep me occupied? I have a cell phone and texting, but i also have o.c.d and if i lose one bar in my battery picture i flip out and think my phone will die (and i don't have a car charger)...

So can anyone give me advice on what to do and what to bring for a four hour car ridE?

  1. Try playing games with your sister. Try this, look at the cars coming at you. You look for red cars and she looks for blue cars. Each car is worth 5 points. The first one to get 100 points wins. It may sound stupid, but it takes up time and after a while,it is fun. Good luck.

  2. Bring an extra battery for the phone.  Or a second phone.  Or buy a car charger.

    Bring an iPod.

Bring a book to read.  Maybe one on techniques for sitting still.

Try looking out the window and counting the cars that go by in the other direction.  I would get bored doing that, but maybe with OCD you will keep doing it for all four hours.
