Driving w/ no insurance?

i was driving my dad's car to the movies one night and got into a car accident. I don't have insurance on the car because its my dads, but i do have insurance on my car is it possible to get my insurance to cover the accident?

Yes, your insurance can cover this.  Example, if you rent a car and you already have full coverage on your own you don't have to purchase their auto insurance.  Next thing happens and you wreck the vehicle the rental car is covered.  The insurance always follows the driver.  Also it depends who had better car insurance which insurance company will pay out first.  By the way was this your fault?  If it was and you hit another vehicle it may change the outcome dramatically.  


  2. You just screwed over your dad. His insurance will not cover it because you are an EXCLUDED driver which means you ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE THE CAR!!!! If  

  3. If you're an excluded driver, your dad's insurance won't pay anything.  You were not supposed to be driving his vehicle and he'll probably have his policy cancelled as well.  Insurance follows the vehicle, so the insurance on your vehicle doesn't matter.
