i am 16 and i got pulled over a week ago it was around midnight and the officer that pulled me over thought that i was drunk because i had inconsistent speeds and was driving in both my lane and the right turn lane according to him.(that has been my main problem with driving getting tired) He gave me a breath test i had nothing to drink that night and passed then He asked if i was tired and i said yes, and he thankfully let me go. Could he have giving me a ticket for being completely asslep, because i was only half asleep. also could i have been ticketed for reckless driving?

  1. "Could he have giving me a ticket for being completely asslep, because i was only half asleep."  WTF?! You're an idiot! You need to go home sooner than midnight if that's how you drive when you're tired.  You are gonna kill someone.  But to answer your question, yes you can get a ticket for reckless driving.  Dumb*ss

  2. If this is not the first time for this, why do your parents not do something about the situation before you get killed or kill someone else?

Are you on any type of prescribed medication. It sounds odd for a teen to be that exhausted at midnight, if there isn't something else going on. Yes he could have issued for Reckless and Impudent Driving. In some states they could also try giving you a DUI of some other substance.

Don't you find it a bit odd that you say with seriousness "I was only half asleep while driving"? The next charge may be Manslaughter

  3. The Officer shouldn't have let you go.  You should have been cited for at least negligent driving, and taken into the station so someone could have picked you up.  You're very lucky that you didn't get into an accident.  Sleep deprivation is an impairment, and is considered DUI.

  4. yes for both. if he wanted to he could of made someone (family friend ect), come pick you and your car up. im sure its nothen agianst you just if your asleep you pose a risk as you can assume. but overall he could have ticketed for both accounts and much more..

  5. It must have been bad enough for someone to notice.  Didn't you learn the answer to your question in Drivers Education?

  6. Well... I think it's best not to drive when you're exhausted. You might kill someone, then you would be more than just ticketed!

  7. The ticket would have been for "driving while impaired" which is in the same category of crime as if you had been drinking.  YOu have to be able to know when you have not had too much to drink (it's not illegal to drink and drive) and you have to know when you are too tired to drive.  A Phoenix police officer fell asleep at the wheel after her night shift and drove across 2 lanes this morning.
