Driving with a copy of vehicle registration in California?

i live in california and want to know if i can drive with a copy of the vehicle registration? i'm planing to leave the orginal at home and the copy in my wallet because i dont want to leave the registration in the car.

if you read the registration paper you will have your answer. depends on the officer he can accept it or he can give you  a fixed ticket, but if you get stop by an officer most likely will be for a reason and I do not think i will be smart to get the officer more irritate, hope my answer helps

If the registration is in your name, a copy is fine.
