Driving with a friend?

I am 16 and a friend of mine got his license about 5 months ago. My mom does not want me driving with him, but he offers to pick me up to go swimming, play footbal, etc... He has been adapting to me for a while when I come over he asks his dad to drive or mom. What do I tell my mom or IS he to0 inexperienced or AM I too young

even if he got his license already, it is still adviced that minors should be driving with someone older... i think it's part of the rules in driving in the states

I look at it this way...teens should not ride with teens...

Teens have enough on their plates with learning to drive, school, parents and life in general and you need to give your parents a break.

They have put their hearts and souls into you and they don’t want something dumb too happen, just let it go and life will be easier for you and your parents.....
