Driving without a license?

Question

First off, I am a licensed driver, and I have insurance on my truck. I have a clean record. I misplaced my physical license, along with my wallet (And insurance card). I am going to get a duplicate license tommorow afternoon, but what happens if I get pulled over? Is this like driving without a license? even though i have one, just not physically with me? (I live in CA)

you'll get the ticket for driving without the license/insurance, but if you go to court and prove that you are a licensed driver and had insurance at the time then the charges will be dropped and nothing bad will happen to you. But going to traffic court sucks, so try not to get pulled over!
