Drivings license revoked?

Hi, i really need some HELP.

i was charged for driving without insurance on my cousins car and recieved 6 penalty points and this morningi recieved a letter from DVLA stating my license has been revoked.

i have had the full license for over 2:50 years but the offense was commited during the two year period but i got charged after the two years period i think its a mistake. what should i please?

  1. They took your licence because the offence took place within 2 years of you getting your licence. Get insurance next time.


  2. Nothing you can do.  The law is that the totting up procedure and the trigger date for a revocation of an inexperienced driver takes the date of the OFFENCE as the date on which the points were accrued.  Not the date of charge or even date of conviction. So no mistake there.

  3. If it was committed during the 2 year period that is what it is. It takes them a long time to run it through the system.

  4. Insurance offence penalties apply from the date of the offence, not of conviction, I'm afraid.

  5. If the offence was commit ed within two years of getting your licence and accumulates to a total of 6 or more points your licence will be revoked.
