Chelsea’s striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 believes that the Blues have been given a second chance to prove their worth in the Champions League, as the team is set to take on Bayern Munich in the finals next month.
The Premier League side are making their way back to the finals of the tournament after four years. The team went on to beat the Spanish giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in order to qualify for the final and the team is looking to redeem themselves.
Drogba feels that the team is being given a second chance to make up for the mistakes that they made in the past. The Blues went on to lose out to Manchester United last time they were in the finals, but with the players now being way more mature and with
a point to prove, they could end up winning the trophy.
When talking about the upcoming game, the Ivorian international is reported to have said: "I am just happy for the club, for the team and I'm really happy for the result"
"I think everyone deserves a second chance. I don't know if it will be mine"
“After not playing in the final I faced a lot of criticism but that's football and I understand that and it helped me to grow up a little bit more."
The forward then went on to talk about his sides defensive display against Barcelona and admitted that sometimes you had to switch things up and be effective, instead of trying to play pretty football. He then insisted that it was all about being effective
more than anything else.
"I know some people don't like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 but that's football," Drogba added. "You cannot be loved by everyone and we are in the final but that is not a revenge against anyone."
The Ivory Coast international is more than likely to start in the finals for the Blues, but it is up to Drogba to maintain his fitness and go on and put up another brilliant display in the finals.
It is now a wait to see just what team is going to end up coming out on top, once the Champions League final is played out.
