Michele Padovano, former centre-forward of the Turin giants, has remarked on the prospect of Drogba signing for Juve and stated that it will be a great addition.
The fact that the Bianconeri outfit are in dire need of a proven striker has become a thing of the past, with the Turin giants conceding that they will look to sign a top quality striker within their ranks to fill the void. However, they have been unable
to comply with the demands and wishes of their fans due to deals falling through with their prospects.
They had targeted many players to be part of their project at the Juventus Arena, but there have been issues down the line which have broken down the negotiations between the club and the players. Furthermore, other top quality players do not tend to turn
in to the direction of the Serie A, especially given the fact that they have been financially inferior to other top leagues in Europe.
They were linked with several players in the summer transfer window, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 all linked with a move to the side from Turin. However, after the club qualified for the knockout rounds of the
UEFA Champions League, there will be more eagerness for the Turin giants to tie up a striker who can lead the line for them with expert finishing.
They have missed a genuine finisher within their ranks of late as well and further progression into the Champions League would only come about if they have a finisher who will be convert chances and not waste away their opportunities
While commenting on the chances of Juventus landing Drogba, Padavona went on to remark:
“Drogba could be the right name for Juve to make the next step. Even with the African Cup of Nations in the New Year he would be perfect. The forward position is a department in which something is missing. Purchasing Bendtner is something that, personally,
I did not understand.”
The Turin giants are still linked with a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Llorente-c13671, the striker who is in his last six months of contract at the club.
