Dromulton Bally in command for the lineup of the Poppy Henderson 9th Birthday Stakes at Crayford
The Grade A6 Poppy Henderson 9th Birthday Stakes are to be held at Crayford over 380 metres on Saturday, 3rd March. Six hounds are in for competing to get entitled to the £111 prize money.
The six ready for reeling in for the wire include Stop Coding, Norman Conquer, Dromulton Bally, Santoi Comet, Central Daisy and Black Pack Joe.
Most credible entry among the six is Dromulton Bally, Ballymac Kewell’s three-year-old brindle dog out of b***h Ballymac Jacqui. He has raced during the 2012 season eight times and out of those he has won twice.
He won the Grade A7 380 metres Flat race on 13th January at Crayford. Trained by S. Gammon, Dromulton Bally clocked the distance in 24.24 seconds and led by 2 ½ lengths.
Following behind was Buglys Dash while third in line behind the winner was Altamount Jude. The 5/2 favourite of the race, Norman Beauty, finished the race fourth.
Dromulton Bally remained winless in his next five starts and then struck a second victory through the last start that he made on 28th February.
He won a Grade A7 380 metres Flat race at Crayford by reaching on the other side of the wire in 23.81 seconds while in lead of 3 ½ lengths.
Dromulton Bally was entered as a 2/1 joint favourite with the other joint favourite, Lynns Friend finishing fourth after Betwixed and Margan Mini taking onto to the second and third positions.
Today Dromulton Bally is racing his ninth start during the season and is up for posting the third victory of the season.
Central Daisy, Razldazl Billy’s five-year-old black daughter out of b***h Dalcash Joy, has also posted two victories during the season but out of seven races.
She won a Grade A7 380 metres Flat race on 19th January at Crayford after racing through the distance in 24.09 seconds leading by a mere neck’s difference from the runner up Grogeen Josie who raced over the same distance in 24.11 seconds.
Finishing third in line was Roo Mona while the 9/4 favourite of the race, Belfry Club, ended fourth.
Central Daisy’s most recent victory was as a 9/4 favourite in a Grade A7 380 metres Flat race on 25th February at Crayford. She was on the other end of the wire in 23.88 seconds leading by 5 ¼ lengths.
