Droopys Clive to enjoy sweet taste of success in A1 500m Flat at Nottingham
Droopys Clive recently did business at Nottingham, and has a lot more to offer. After a classy 1¼-length victory, the fawn dog is currently flying high, aiming to put up an equally fine show in Monday’s A1 500m Flat.
Prior to his recent strike, A. Stone’s charge was travelling nicely without any success. He was third in three straight races last month. After several unlucky rides, things finally fell right last time, when he grabbed the first rank without much trouble.
The son of Rumble Impact avoided all types of mess to keep his head in front. Thanks to a flawless performance, the skilful hound seized the top place with ease.
The draw is not a concern for him today, as he will be starting the affair from the sixth trap. Although there are many dangerous hounds in the pack, one needs a big heart to ignore Droopys Clive’s good chances.
Other contestants in the race are: Lisnakill Roly, Francospatch, Ballymac Guitre, Leathems Rumble and Romeo Gallant. The proceedings are due to get started at 19:48 GMT. The winner will be given a prize worth £134.
Romeo Gallant’s chance is not at all obvious, thus we expect the bookies to give him big odds. Ballymac Guitre has tended to find this class too hot to handle. The white and black b***h is stepping down to this level after facing a couple of unlucky defeats
at the open level.
Lisnakill Roly is a popular runner, and would be a tough fellow to tackle. He narrowly missed the first place last twice. An extra effort can see him taking the big prize home.
Francospatch is full of spirit following a couple of terrific wins at the A2 level. It will be interesting to see how he handles the situation in this class. On the other hand, Leathems Rumble does not take the eye as a winner in this line-up.
Lisnakill Roly is being regarded as a big player. He surely deserves a lot of respect, but Droopys Clive is in a great position to get the better of him. All the best to the participants.
