Droopys English ready to post in another success through the Crayford Bookmakers Stakes
The two-year-old fawn dog, Droopys English, gets a confident nod for the Grade OR Crayford Bookmakers Stakes over 540 metres flat at Crayford on Saturday, 10th November. The total prize money set for the race tonight is £150, and seeking their
winner’s share out of it are, Longford By Pass, Rogers Nod, Moyar Mac, Westmead Meteor and Lordsbury Mayo.
Droopys English started racing just this season and did not make the connections wait for long to test him at the open level. The A. Gifkins trained has accumulated experience at Kinsley, Wimbledon, Nottingham, Romford and Henlow in the short span of time
ever since he has joined the racing career.
The two-year-old was sent for his first open test on 10th June in the Betfred Gymcrack – Heat 3 at Kinsley, but it turned out to be a failure as the sixth trap ended at the fourth position.
The first time the two-year-old out of, Droopys Darlene, accomplished at the open level was in the first heat of the williamhill.com Puppy Derby – First Round on 28th July, 2012 at Wimbledon over 480 metres.
He made the most out of the chance despite the disturbed breaking from the second trap, and also the fate of getting crowded. However, composing the form and leading on from the first position had him completing the trip in 28.92 seconds, and winning by
the margin of 1 ½ lengths.
Qualifying as the runner-up was, Bubbly Rossie.
The fawn dog of, Blackstone Gene, has won three out of the last five attempts, two at Henlow and the most recent one at Romford. All the successes resulted from different traps, and the last one was the longest, over 575 metres.
On 2nd November, Droopys English landed the Terence Reynolds Retirement Stakes at Romford over 575 metres. He bagged the winner’s prize money by clocking the track distance in 35.57 seconds.
The favourite entry defeated Droopys Franklin by 1 ¼ lengths.
The blue trap was quick to race away from the rest of the lot, switch from the rail to the middle and maintain the lead until reaching the wire.
He has drawn the third trap for the challenge tonight.
