Droopys Greg and Bridge Diamond got revoked by their trainers from the Williamhill.com St Leger Quarter-Finals
The draw for the quarter-finals scheduled on the 23rd of September was confirmed. The traps were ready to welcome their warriors, but suddenly a very important competitor of the show backed out from the game. Trainer N Savva has verified Droopy Greg’s withdrawal from the Williamhill.com St Leger Quarter-Finals.
Along with the purse winner of the St Leger heats, Droopys Greg, another hound has been revoked from the competition.
On Monday afternoon, trainer M L Locke decided to take his black hound, Bridge Diamond, out of the game.
There were high expectations attached with Droopys Greg in the Williamhill.com St Leger First Round Heat 7.
The black hound has always come up with an amazing performance. He was in the heats as the most favourite one, railing tremendously. He gave a hit for N Savva and confirmed his place in the quarter-finals.
The son of Westmead Diver, Droopys Greg, out of Droopys Sporty, was supposed to release himself from trap 6 in the quarter-finals.
Wearing black and white jacket with a red number printed on it, the two-year-old decided to race as a wide runner in the quarter-finals.
His previous performances verified that he will definitely finish up fantastically and easily qualify for the next round, but after being pulled out, his trap will remain empty in the race.
Droopys Greg, being a 5/4 F of the first round, covered his required distance in 42.09 seconds.
His amazing timing helped him in becoming eligible for the next round. Along with three other contenders, he was supposed to race against Snowdon Flyer and Skywalkershearer, who were the purse winners of the heats.
Bridge Diamond was reserved for trap 4 since the management decided that he will participate in the race as a middle runner. His sudden withdrawal from the game will definitely effect this thrilling event.
Even though he managed to finish third in the Williamhill.com St Leger First Round Heat 7, expectations were still high that the four-year-old will come up with astonishing results.
Wearing black and white jacket, he was placed in Heat 4 of the quarter-finals. It was portrayed that a tough team had been formed for the quarter-finals' heat 4 but now the vacant trap 4 will not be opening its doors for the big show.
The purse winner, Droopys Greg, was placed in Heat 2 while M L Locke’s Bridge Diamond, finishing third, was put in Heat 4 for the quater-finals.
After being extracted from the show, they have lost the chance of winning the purse worth £8,000 in the Williamhill.com St Leger Finals.
